I just thought it worth putting together a collection of events and workshops and other promotional things I've done so far to help the book get out into the world. All very local and small acorns at this stage but it's a great way of learning the ropes as to what is required to help a book get off the ground.
Shouting about it online will one go so far!
A bit of local press I managed to get to let people know about the crowd fund and the project when it was underway
Here's a link and some pictures of the first reading and drawing workshop I did at Warburton and Binstead school, just before the book was printed.
I also paid a visit to the year 6 pupils at Chesswood Junior school in Worthing to do a similar afternoon session for a bit of fun and light relief once they'd all finished their SAT exams.
At this years Elderflower Fields Festival in Pippingford Park near Uckfiled, I spent a very enjoyable Sunday morning doing spoken word reading, and drawing and creative writing session with lots of enthusiastic festival goers, both young and not so young. From 10.30 am I was to be found at the POW WOW tent, covered in straw and wearing my leopard onesie which went down a storm- even if it was a little warm...
Here are a couple of pics plus some of the sterling efforts done by some of the audience.
